1. Purpose of Aluminium Powder in AAC Block

To make the concrete block rise / foam.

2. Type of Aluminium Powder for AAC Block

Normally flake aluminium powder with gas finishing time of 20 minutes.

3. Raw Materials for AAC Block

Fly ash or sand, cement, lime, gypsum, aluminium powder.

4. Purpose of Adding Gypsum in AAC Blocks

  • Acts as a regulator

  • Controls hydration reaction rate

  • Enhances early strength

  • Reduces dry shrinkage deformation

  • Improves physical properties

  • Prevents cracking and shrinkage

5. AAC Block Formula & Technical Parameters

Mould & Slurry

  • Moulding size: 425 × 65 × 45 cm

  • Slurry sand content: around 60%

Raw Material Requirements

  1. ①Quick lime: free CaO ≥ 70%

  2. ②Mixed concrete temperature: ≥ 80 °C

  3. ③Silica sand: SiO₂ ≥ 90%, pregrinded to 200 mesh

Process Parameters

  • Static curing time: 2.5 – 3 hours

  • Aluminium paste premix ratio with water: 1:10

  • High-speed agitation after adding aluminium paste: approx. 90 seconds

Dosage per Mould (4.2 m³)

  • Slurry: 2000 kg

  • Cement: 300 – 330 kg

  • Lime: 230 – 270 kg

  • Aluminium paste JH 7015 + 7030 (60:40): 2.0 – 2.3 kg

  • Gypsum: 30 – 50 kg

CL Block Formula

  • Sand: 480 kg

  • Cement: 70 – 80 kg

  • Lime: 50 – 65 kg

  • Aluminium powder: 300 grams

  • Gypsum: 7 – 12 kg
