II. Core Production Process (Full Process of Flaky Aluminum Powder Forming)
Our flaky aluminum powder is produced via a high-precision wet ball milling and stretching process. Different from ordinary spherical aluminum powder, the raw aluminum materials are processed into flat, high aspect ratio and high-reflectivity flaky structures through precise process control. The entire production process is closely linked with strict quality control at every step. The core production procedures are as follows:
1. Raw Material Selection and Preprocessing: High-purity special aluminum raw materials are selected with strict inspection on purity and impurity content. Oxide layers and unqualified materials are removed to eliminate defects such as black spots, impurities and substandard purity from the source, laying a solid foundation for high-quality flaky aluminum powder production.
2. Precision Ball Milling and Stretching Forming: Preprocessed aluminum materials are mixed with special environmentally friendly coating additives and put into intelligent ball milling equipment for fine grinding. By accurately controlling grinding speed, duration, temperature and medium ratio, spherical aluminum particles are gradually stretched and rolled into ultra-thin and flat flaky structures with uniform thickness, no damage and no curling. 3. Surface Modification and Passivation Treatment: Professional surface coating and modification are carried out based on diverse application requirements. By adopting different coating systems including stearic acid, oleic acid and polymer resin, we produce leafing mirror-effect flaky aluminum powder for decorative coatings and non-leafing heat-resistant and shear-resistant flaky aluminum powder for color masterbatches and high-end plastics, which significantly improves the product’s heat resistance, oxidation resistance, resin compatibility and wear resistance.
4. Precise Particle Size Classification and Screening: After grinding and modification, fully automatic grading and screening equipment is adopted for accurate classification of flaky aluminum powder. Three mainstream particle size specifications are strictly sorted: 3~10μm fine silver powder, 12~25μm standard glitter silver powder, and 30~80μm coarse glitter silver powder. The particle size distribution is strictly controlled with oversized and ultrafine particles removed, ensuring uniform particle size and consistent texture of each batch to meet customer demands for delicate matte effect, high-gloss glitter and electroplated mirror effect.
5. Purification, Dust Removal and Drying Curing: Multi-stage dust removal and purification processes are applied to remove dust impurities and small molecular volatile substances generated during production. A closed-loop constant-temperature drying process is adopted to strictly control moisture and volatile content, preventing finished product defects such as agglomeration, oxidation, foaming and pinholes, and ensuring storage stability and processing adaptability.
6. Finished Product Inspection and Sealed Packaging: A full set of performance tests are conducted before finished products are put into storage. Qualified products are packaged with moisture-proof and anti-oxidation sealed materials to isolate air and water vapor, avoiding oxidation darkening and moisture agglomeration during storage and transportation so as to stabilize delivery quality.
III. Strict Quality Control System
The workshop has established a full-process and full-node quality control mechanism to achieve 100% quality supervision from raw material warehousing and in-process production to finished product delivery. The core control measures are as follows:
1. Raw Material Control: All incoming raw materials are inspected strictly for core indicators including purity, impurities and moisture content. Unqualified raw materials are prohibited from production.
2. In-Process Inspection: Real-time monitoring is implemented on grinding accuracy, coating effect, particle size distribution and temperature parameters throughout production. Hourly sampling and testing are carried out to adjust production parameters timely and avoid batch color difference and performance deviation.
3. Finished Product Full Inspection: Key indicators including flake flatness, glossiness, hiding power, heat resistance, shear stability, oxidation resistance and migration resistance are fully tested. Harmful substances such as heavy metals and phthalates are strictly screened to ensure compliance with REACH and GB 9685 food-contact environmental standards.
4. Batch Traceability Management: All products are managed with exclusive batch numbers. Production, inspection and delivery records are fully retained to realize complete quality traceability and ensure long-term consistent and stable product quality for customers.
